Yes we had an excursion. By the time we arrived in Pisa,after taking a coach bus, boat ride and tram train) our guide said we only had 45 minutes to see the leaning tower and shop! Ridiculous! We couldn’t even go to the top. We barely had enough time to take pictures and look in stores. Didn’t get a chance to look in churches. Disappointed in this excursion. Complained on ship at shore excursions but there was nothing they could do!

Very much worth visiting the local town within easy walking distance from the ship. Some shopping and plenty of restaurants.

Not enough time see both Pisa and Florence as we had planned, so we only saw Pisa -- quite spectacular.
