I would have rather been able to spend more time at Sterling Castle and maybe drove to The William Wallace monument. The 2 hour scenic drive to the castle ate up the extra time we could have had.

No Glasgow, no shuttle, so we walked around Greenock

The place is a great itinerary stop. The excursion was a waste of money: We spent hours on the bus for 15 minutes in the castle, a driveby of major monuments/sites and a "there-it-is" of the royal mile/Princes Street.

Amazing , so much to see and do , would really recommend the hop on hop off bus tour . Again , heard people who stayed in Greenock had a great time as locals were providing free tours , tea and shortbread .
