Also a good port, also a place we would like to see more of. We took the tour that included the toboggans, the basket factory and the top of the highest peak. There were delays, perhaps because some of the folks on the tour had limited mobility. But in any case we had only 35 minutes at the top of the mountain, which was a very great disappointment.

The cable car to mountain top is a must do, and one can buy cork products. Not much else worth doing/seeing.

We did the "Wild West" Land Rover Tour. It was great and so much fun! Going 3000 feet up into the beautiful mountains of Madiera by Land Rover. Would do this again.
