We did a microbrewery tour in Rostock, which was very nice. Warnemunde itself was very tourist-y, beach town-y and reminded us of Niagara Falls (the city, not the falls) on the US side. The tours to Berlin itself took three hours by train each way and we only had 10 hours in port, so we did not see Berlin.

Our favorite port due to all the history we know about Berlin. The train ride is two hours or a little more so bring a book. Saw Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, Allied museum, etc. Lunch at the Hilton was super.

Did the excursion that took us on a long train ride to Berlin. We enjoyed ourselves in Berlin. Unless you want to visit Berlin, you don’t need an excursion for this port. There’s plenty to do, it’s a walkable cute town with a beach and ferris wheel.
