Dull & dreary with the exception of the tour sights...The Hermitage, Catherine Palace, Yusupov’s Palace and Peterhof Summer Residence (outstanding)

Beautiful palaces...the frustration is the lack of freedom to wander about without a visa.

Wow. Of course, the palaces, the churches, the monuments, the statues, the history... all were amazing. Alexander Nevsky Cemetary is another place to visit, where Dostoevsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, and other artistic and literary greats are buried.

The only excursions we signed up for. The Hermitage one day and the Palaces at Pushkin and Peterhof. Both were well done.

Took too long to clear customs the first day. The two-day excursion was excellent.

Parents, please choose your excursions wisely! Taking children on longer/walking excursions may diminish the experience of others.
