Southampton (London), England Port Reviews

As stated, tricky to get there. Takes much organization to travel there. Cruise ship costs for bus travel there is triple National Express Bus line.

We stayed in Southampton while the ship continued to Hamburg and re-embarked on its return. Southampton ws delightful. Lovely, clean, good restaurants, nice old town and friendly folks. We hired a car for the trips to Stonehenge and Winchester. Great trips, thanks to the head concierge at Leonardo Grand Harbor Hotel. Great hotel choice which we scheduled on our own. All of Southampton was our own scheduling.

We were looking forward to leaving out of Portsmouth. Until NCL move the port of embarkation.

Only saw the port as we stayed the night before in Eastleigh

Easy walk to town and the train from London.

Our only problem was arriving by bus during a football game and staying very close to the stadium. It was difficult to get a cab from the bus station to the hotel.

Depending on which terminal you are in, it is possible to reach the old city centre on foot. Unfortunately, most tourist attractions are closed in November.

Stayed in London for one night and visited the Tower of London that was amazing.
