Stayed at a resort in this Town for a couple weeks it is beautiful in the summer. The water is chilly but you can swim. The town is small and walkable cute little shops and it is a great look at Norwegian coastal living.

The ship had an excellent map of Kristiansand. There is a walking tour of the city that is well-marked. For those not wanting to walk there is a cute little train that you can hop-on and off of. Enjoyed the church which opened and offered an organ presentation. This city has the most parks I have ever seen in a small town - all immaculately kept. There also is a nice fortress that is free to check out.

Due the rain (a lot of rain) we didn't do a lot in Kristiansand. Walked to the Dom Church and did some shopping.

A pleasant surprise, a very nice welcome as we got off and even managed to have our photo taken by the tourist board (didn't know until we got home). Easy to walk around but there is also the land train which will take you if you don't want to walk or cant. Plenty of shops and we even had some nice sunshine.
