We went on the Vigur Island tour. If you like birds, you will love this tour. I am not a big bird fan, but enjoyed the tour and saw Puffins (which was my goal). The tour is not for people with any mobility challenges.

Not much to do here on a Sunday, spectacular weather and scenery, but very quiet

Not a lot to do if you don't take a tour. Cold. Windy. Intermittent rain all contributed to the challenge. We took the Fjords & Flowers tour. No real highlights, but an overview of life in isolated Western Iceland.

We took the HAL excursion, the Dynjandi Waterfall & Sudureyri: A Taste of the Westfjord. The tour was good and we enjoyed the scenery. It lasted 6 hours. There are plenty of stops for photo opportunities. The Dynjandi waterfall is beautiful . We took a walk up to the falls for a closer look. The fishing village was a interesting stop. We tasted some of the local fish delicacies.

Enjoyed stopping at this small town--the ship docks right next to "downtown"--there are a few shops to visit and lots of places to hike. We took the tour to Vigur Island--saw puffins and lots of other birds --very interesting if you are a nature buff.

All our shore excursions in Iceland were outstanding. Each of the five stops were so different. A fascinating country and would love to revisit it someday.

Small quiet town in a fjord. We opted to take the tender in and just walk around town for a bit. Lots of excursions available but we just took it easy

Access to prime excursions was limited and there were several ships there at the same time. We managed to book the excursion to Hesteyri on our own and were rewarded with close encounters with Arctic Fox and excellent hike with our guide. Plus a great whale encounter on the way back.
