Port town. No direct bus or train to Amsterdam. We got a taxi.

I love Amsterdam but the shipped docked too far from the city. We took an excursion which was pretty lame. It included cheese factory and time wandering around a Typical country town. Bus guide was knowledgable.

We went three days early and stayed near Van Gogh museum. Went to the museum, Anne Frank house, dinner cruise on canals, and walked around old town.

Appreciated all that Viking did to get us to see something of Amsterdam. Wish we could have seen more.

A very wet morning. Stayed on board. The departure was fairly early and luckily the sun appeared at lunchtime enabling us all to eat on deck and the facilities were used by quite a few
