Once we got off the tender boat, we tried to find an interesting tour and Notton expensive but wasn't successful. Sotookthe cruise shuttle to leknes instead @$20 each! Eventually found the tourist information inside the shopping centre, took local bus to Viking museum in Borg, didn't have to pay as the payment machine was broken! A lovely friendly bus driver we had. This port is not as exciting as others on this itinerary

Unfortunately we never got off the boat here. It was exceptionally high winds and quite rough seas, so we stayed on the boat. We had 2 tired little girls who wanted to stay & play in the kids club.

We rented a car and visited the reconstructed viking home and preserved fishing village. With four people this is more economical than a Princess excursion. One can arrange to have have rental company deliver cars to pier. This island of mountains, trails and beaches was spectacular. A must see. A beatiful church was in Gravdol as well as inland on the island a bit. The pier is between Lecknes and Gravdol with only transportation (paid by passenger) to Lecknes. Poor planning.

Luckily we were able to get ashore. Took a Great walks up the hills and found a small pebbly beach to collect sea shells. Paddled in the artic sea it was cold but not freezing but can say I did it.

The Lofoten Islands are exceptional, with jaw-dropping scenery. This was our favorite port.

Excursions were all booked up. Did not get to see the lovely Lofoten Islands first hand. We traveled them plenty on YouTube.

Originally had a Princess excursion booked: Catamaran fjord tour, however was cancelled by operator a few weeks before cruise. Incidentally Princess did not notify us, we figured it out when we saw a refund on our CC bill. Rented a car and drove E 10 to Moskenes. Beautiful countryside with fjords, and picturesque fishing villages. Rent a Car Lofoten delivered car to cruise port and picked up very easy
