We arrived a day early and took the metro into town. Walked around on our own. May be too big to do this and hope to catch all the highlights.

We docked at a cruise port further way from town so we tried the hop on hop off buses at the port. There was a free for all among cruisers and it was not pretty. Waited for another bus and took the tour of the city. We transferred to a waiting bus by the Little Mermaid Park. We left her for later in the day. We hopped off after we decided to walk through Tivoli Gardens. You can choose to pay for entrance just to wander like you could at Disney before everything was included. Visited the LEGO store. Never got to actually see the little mermaid.

Disembarked for a 4 hour tour before going to the airport for a late flight to London. Our driver and tour guide where excellent. Learned more about Copenhagen than I expected. I have decided to fly back fora 2 week visit in 2020, so beautiful with happy, friendly people.

Tivoli Gardens was a disappointment and we took an afternoon excursion and wasted the morning. Otherwise Copenhagen was a beautiful city.

Copenhagen is great! If you do it on your own, the hop on hop off with the boat tour is all you need. Do the boat first because it gets crowded as the day goes on.
