There is a train on the Port who takes you to Cork. Really fast, in 20 minutes. Easy access. Cobh is really small but really comfortable. Worth going there. Cork it’s like the big city with big stores between these two. Go to both of them!

I joined the cruise at this port. I was determined not to miss another day so I went on the blarney castle tour offered through princess. I really liked the Poison garden and the paths are easy to follow. I went up to kiss the Blarney Stone, but be careful as some of the stones are slippery. All of castle grounds were well maintained and I loved all of the different areas.

The harbor town of Cobh is just magical. The people are so friendly and jolly. The cathedral is beautiful and on a very fortunate location. We took the train to Cork. That town had a gritty look in some spots but also worth a visit. Magnificent cathedral and great little pubs.

Absolutely loved Cobh! What a delightful town. Our excursion was to Spike Island. Very interesting history. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed walking around the island. Transfer was by ferry which we easily walked to and from boat. One of the best things here is the cathedral - magnificient! And, the town had held a regatta and there was music, local crafts and food in the park. We had a great time!

The town of Cobh is nice. The train station is across from the ship. It was very simple to buy a ticket to Cork & there is a train every 30 minutes. It’s a nice little walk around town … a day of leisure. Try the tea and scone at O'Connell’s. Cobh (the port) is fun to check out if you don't want to make the trip to Cork.
