Weather was dry & fair so walked through this large town instead of a tour as we only had half a day. We came here once before so saw different this time

Ship docked at Bontelabo, if you come out of terminal go across the road to the Fortress and walk through the grounds you'll find the Bergers Festningsmuseum. It opens 11am and it's FREE. Tells the history of the fortress for the last 900 years and there is free tea and coffee at the end. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience especially as I am not a shopaholic and it was raining very heavily.

We lucked out with weather and had a grand boat trip down the Hjorund Fjord. It was breathtaking! They had free waffles with strawberry sauce and coffee too.

Nice to visit, but so many other cruise liners here, it became very very busy, not as clean and nice to look at as our other ports of call. If you go ashore go early to beat the crowds. It was like going to Folkstone Kent UK on a busy day...

Pre booked the hop on hop off bus just steps away from terminal. Went up funicular to mount floyen and rented mountain bikes. Most spectacular views and cheap! Ate waffles at the restaurant on top of floyen.
