Another beautiful port. I did the ship's tour Hardangerfjord and we felt this was the best tour, with only the kayaking in Geiranger coming close. There are so many beautiful waterfalls here, and the chance to walk behind one is not to be missed. The lunch stop at a local apple farm was also excellent (do not miss the apple cake!).

The tours that we booked were cancelled because of a cycling event that closed down a lot of streets. We did go out on Bergen by Boat with an excellent guide that gave a different perspective of Bergen. We did spend time walking through the city so it was not a total loss.

We visited a Norwegian farm on a shore excursion titled "A Taste of Norwegian Farm Life" and had the best hot chocolate and pastries. One of our favorite shore excursions ever.

Check the weather before your trip. IF the weather is for rain on the day you are in port, opt OUT of the trip to the top of the mountain, and either do Grieg's house and the Stave Church, or simply walk around the historical area. It rains in Bergen a lot, and if the weather is overcast, the trip to the top of the mountain means you see nothing. I want to do the North Cap next!
