Chill place, you get some weird smells walking around town, but the culture and atmosphere are amazing. Beautiful city, and the port was easy to get in and out of as far as embarkation/debarkation was concerned.

Amsterdam is an easy place to navigate on your own. Lot’s to see and do. There are buses, trams, trains & cannel boats. If you stay in “city central” you can easily walk most sites. The lines are long, but we highly recommend seeing the Anne Frank house. Don't miss trying their cheeses, waffles and hot chocolate!

We finished our APT cruise in Amsterdam, what an amazing eclectic city. We did the canal tour & a bus tour. We had a great guide. Every minute. It was great to finally find a coffee shop that made a barrista made, flat white. Bonus that it was called Cafe van Zuylen....no relation though, so i didn't get a freebie ☕

We had a two-day extension in Amsterdam. All of Europe is experiencing a heat wave with temperatures in the 90's. No more was this apparent than in Amsterdam. It was HOT and air conditioning is not something they have in abundance. We did an included Vking walking tour in the morning and then we were on our own for the next 1-1/ days. The city is awash in bicycle riders. They are everywhere and don't get in their way as they have the right of way. We toured the Van Gogh museum and took the obligatory canal boat tour. The museum was worth the trip, didn't realize how traumatized Van Gogh was. Boat ride was a lot of fun. Sights of the old buildings in Amsterdam were very interesting.
