Don't do the Acropolis IMO - it is a long way up and tons of people crammed in together just to get to the top and see a bunch of ruins - no my thing - I went with someone else and she picked all of our excursions.

Didn’t get to go inside the Parthenon but that’s due to long line 2-3 hour wait we choose not to wait so go expecting a lot wait

After a workout I grabbed a starbucks and breakfast at the Taste and listened to a couple debate over the difference between grits and cream of wheat (so stupid but I guess they were in love) sitting next to me. The messed up a peaceful breakfast with their drama. I don't eat grits or cream of wheat. I got many spankings over it. I did not want to spend too many hours off the ship based on my prepaid amenities and activities so I chose the "Panoramic Athens" tour. While this was an early day and besides breakfast bistros/cafes nothing was open at 9AM in the morning. Acropolis park was lively and beautiful. Again just a sip of Athens. Dinner at the Taste was on par. I had two fish dishes and a fine bordello.

We spent an extra night in Athens at the end and took time to see the Acropolis. Excellent experience.

No excursion. Went on our own to the Acropolis

We stayed 3 days in Athens prior to cruise in an apartment with our Marriott Bonvoy points through Homes & Villas. Great location, walking distance to all the sites. It was very hot! Food was fabulous. 3 days was the right amount of time

Great port offering a variety of options. It is the busiest port in Europe so know it will be crowded.

We enjoyed a private third-party tour including the highlights of Athens and a sunset at the Temple of Poseidon

Yes, lots of walking on uneven terrain

We were on our own the first day and went to the Acropolis, not to be missed.
