Unfortunately due to heat the Acropolis was closed while we were docked.

We did an excursion to the acropolis through a company called PK travel, we were picked up at the cruise port and driven around Athens and learnt a lot of the city's history. The tour took about 4 hours and was less than half the price of the ships same excursion.

Athens is a busy city full of historic sites like the Acropolis that are mandatory to visit, with great shopping and dining areas. Tourists will be non-stop busy, and should definitely spend a few days here, as we did, rather than hours. We loved our hotel with swimming pool as the daytime hours were a bit scorching, and we also took an all-day tour to famous Delphi. The night life in the Plaka is fantastic!

Booked Acropolis hill wow great pic's and what history. Then walked the town. Took city bus to and from great price dropped off at ship terminal.

Arrived 2 days prior for mort time in Athens

Immigration arrived late hungry tired guests had to wait about 3 hrs and no one from ncl on land to show concern or help.
