Amazing

I did book an excursion through United. A tour of the acropolis and trikke tour. It started later than it was supposed to and ended later as well. This caused us to miss some of the acropolis tour because we had appointments to take the expensive COVID test at the terminal. The tour guide was very upset and made us feel bad.

We went to Corinth and that was great

Wish there could have been more time given to the first Olympic stadium. I felt rushed here.

Love Athens. Had been here previously. A local driver / guide we used previously took us around to see highlights like Acropolis, changing of the guards, local shopping and amazing bakeries

As expected

A very short stop here. Not enough time to see everything.

Our cruise ended at 8AM in Athens, so we made our way to a hotel, left our bags, and then self-toured all the big sites in Athens for a day before hopping on our plane the next morning. We were pleasantly surprised by the Acropolis and some of the sites, and it's a very walkable historic area. We used the metro and had no issues there (including to the airport). We stayed at a slightly funky hotel that was a highlight for us - the Ivis 4 Boutique Hotel. They had a really nice restaurant which was convenient, and gave us the "other than standard Greek fare" dining experience we were hoping for that night, but at a very reasonable price.
