We used the hop-on hop-off bus for this port. Saw the acropolis and did a off the cuff 10ish mile walking tour of Athens. One of our favorite stops!

We didn't do an excursion but had 2 days in Athens before the cruise left. It was enough time to do most of the sites and have time to explore the area.
