The ship had a shuttle to the train station. Do not hesitate. It was well worth it. 5 Euro I think. Then took the train to Pisa, then to Florence. Had a nice time in both places. Print out the train schedules for the day you are there on TrenItalia so you know when the trains are due. Validate your ticket before riding the train.

So much to do here, we booked a cheaper excursion through a company called Pleasant Travel and we loved them! Book with them! They picked us up at the ship took us to the leaning tower for pictures and time to explore and then over the David (we booked tickets in advance) and then we had time to eat and explore and lastly we went to an amazing winery in the Chianti Region!

Nothing really in Livorno. We took a train (€20 euro return each & 80 mins) to Florence. We did our own walking tour using Rick Steves Audio Europe App.

Livorno is nothing interesting, but our excursion to the Cinque Terre was good. The villages are crowded and not as charming as the Amalfi Coast, but we still enjoyed it.

Took a taxi to Florence early on Sunday morning and had the place to ourselves for some time! Wonderful we have previously visited Florence/Pisa.

Excursion to Cinque Terre. Amazing visit. Well organized tour with plenty of free time and excellent guides. Pro Tip: Look for the Leaning Tower of Pisa on the right side of the bus on the way up, not too far out of town.

We took the Pisa & Taste of Tuscany excursion. This was such a great one, we can't stop talking about the meal we had at a winery that was included in the excursion! We highly recommend this one!
