Genoa is my least liked port of all my cruising history. We opted to wander down Via Giuseppe Garibaldi to see all of the historical palacial residences/ gardens. They are nice, but wander too far into the old port, and you run into a bunch of presumed prostitutes and pimps, with lots of arguing.

Unfortunately we didn't have time to explore Genoa because we did an all-day, highly recommended, excursion to Cinque Terre. We stopped at the of the five towns. Each was beautiful and unique from the others. Plenty of leisure time in the last town to eat, shop, and explore.
