I wish they gave you more time, everything was rushed and it took forever to get on the cable car which cut into the little bit of time you got. We did the private beach and again because lack of communication with ship people were angry that the guide on the buss taking us to the beach didn't speak Italian when this was not a guided tour she was just trying to be nice and give some background of the island.

If you have ANY mobility issues, reconsider shore excusion. Bus ride from Oia to Thira was fine, but getting on-off the tender was difficult due to no handrails even at dock. Also, not allowed to stay on bus. About a 45-degrees steep climb to the top of the caldera. Tour guide said the way would be level once I got up the hill, with only about 4 low steps to climb before the cable cars. In truth, there were about 35 steps, uphill, and no handrails anywhere. It was tough-going. All this because tour forces you to pass through shopping area, when they could let you out closer to cable cars. Cable car area did have handrails and an elevator from/to the dock which was a life-saver!
