Very busy due to 5 ships that were visiting. Took a speed boat to Oia but very little time to explore before bus back. Stunning views from the top before queuing up for cable car back down to tender boat.

Booked a tour with the ship. Charming Oia village. Beautiful!! Got to see a lot of blue domes.. hung around for a spectacular sunset!! While waiting for our cable car ride back to the ship.. here comes the donkey caravan ( there work day is OVER!! )

Four cruise ships anchored. Choice to see Santorini was climb 600 stairs competing with donkeys or wait forever for overpriced cable car. Not enough shore time to see anything.

AVOID Charming Oia!!! Lovely place in theory but 10000 people crammed into 100m*2 is not fun. Our Tender was the last to leave the ship, so sat in the theatre for an hour, 20 min to the port, then a half hour bus ride to Oia, an hour milling through hoards of tourists and then another 20min coach ride back to Fira (nice enough place) to then queue for the cable-car down for an hour. In the end we walked the 600 hot and smelly steps to the dock and waited for the next tender back to the ship

Beautiful place. The wait to get tendered and then take the cable car up was long since we didn't take a tour, but worth it. Skipped Fira and went straight to Oia via cab. Very quiet and lovely city with nice shops and restaurants. We had wine and mezes at the Blue Viking (I think) on the terrace overlooking the city. Felt like we were in a movie!

Simply stunning. Even though didn't visit Oria but stayed in Santorini village it was beautiful. Long queues for the cable car & be strong not to let people skip the line! Picture postcard views abound & shop owners were very friendly, being happy to chat - although in high season this place must be heaving with folk.

Chaotic port when 5 ships are there. Tender area way to small. Extremely busy. Walker the stairs. Beware of the donkeys on the stairs. Beautifull island.

Was excited to see this port. However, it was too windy and we could not tender. The port was cancelled on my trip and we just had an extra sea day. I hope the weather is fair when I go back and try again next year!

We took the ships, Eclipse, excursion to Oia and wine tasting. I recommend you take the earliest time available to avoid the crowds. We were lucky to be the only ship in town so there was no wait for cable cars. The island is like a magic painting and the geology is evident everywhere. Enjoy.

Santorini was the place that surprise me the most. Although, it was beautiful in its way, I did not know that it was barren and very much desert, but absolutely beautiful. A must see place.
