Incredible tour of Ephesus with an informed guide. Spent no time in the town

Both ports in Turkey felt unsafe. The people seem very anti American, we had several comments said directly to us that made us nervous enough to head back to the ship.

We did a tour with the ship to Ephesus. It was a really good tour, knowledgeable guide, really nice bus and beautiful country. Would highly recommend. Ended with a carpet demonstration where they trap you in a room and give you a hard sell sale pitch to try and sell you a carpet. This was not enjoyed or needed.

Enjoyed an amazing private historical tour.

Not very nice port of call. Lots of pushy shop keepers. Skip the beaches also not very clean or nice. This is a shopping shop if you like knock-off stuff.

Ephesus is very crowded but well worth it.
