Kotor is a hidden gem of Mediterranean ports. The sail into (and out of) the Bay of Kotor is gorgeous, and the town itself is charming and historic. Inside the easily-walkable fortifications are many shops and cafes, as well as the 900 year old Cathedral of St. Tryphon. The hike up the Mount of St. John is very worthwhile, as the ruins of the ancient Castle of St. John and the views from the top are spectacular!
