We had a great time visiting Kotor and managed to take in an excursion to Budva plus climb up to the Fortress of St. John. There's a full review plus many photographs on my blog review... https://solentrichardscruiseblog.com/2014/10/23/one-way-to-do-kotor/

This has to be one of the best spots to cruise into. A lovely view of the mountains on the way in and out. We walked up the hill early and took a bunch of pictures before getting on a speedboat and heading to Perast. We loved our day here.

Our excursion was cancelled due to a storm, but I know it would’ve been amazing. It was still a beautiful port.

Did an outside excursion which was wonderful and small - only 6 people so it was very personalized.

They call the water-filled canyon into Montenegro as Europe's southernmost fjord, and on deck is the place to be when you're sailing in. We did an NCL excursion to hike the city walls, which was great. However, you can also hike there on your own for 3 euro, which is a LOT cheaper. Beautiful port!
