Tour guide: "We think we have 15 million people in Istanbul, maybe 17 million, we really don't know." We saw most of them on our tour of the Blue Mosque (very busy) and St. Sophia (unmemorable). Bazaar is an experience you won't want to miss. Hubby can sip beer in cafe outside.

As you already know we were very late getting back and missed several points of interest because of time limitation and TRAFFIC-tour leader did her best

The tram system makes it easy to get around the city -- you can pick it up at a stop just a few hundred yards from the entrance to the port.

Didn't realize that there would be a stop here... we would have scheduled a little less time on our own after the cruise.

So many tourists we couldn't use out tickets to the Blue Mosque-the line to get in was 1/2 mile long! Take the tram and avoid anything on 4 wheels! Do not go to a carpet showroom-a waste of time and the stress of used car sales tactics.

A wonderful port with many activities. Unfortunately, the weather (snowing) limited our touring - plus a marathon race blocked some of the roads and made travel difficult.

We did our own walking tour. Not enough time to see everything we wanted.
