First time on this island and also love it. A lot of history and beautiful scenery.

Worst port ever. I have never been husseled ant attacked to buy an excursion from the locals in my life. We just wanted to walk around but almost didn't even make it out of the port area and almost turned around. People were rude when you didn't go into their shops. Two people followed us. It was terrible.

We didn’t have an excursion booked but I know now for next time, BOOK ONE. Antigua is BEAUTIFUL but the moment you step off the port you’re uncomfortable hounded by locals. We did end up getting a ride to Darkwood Beach but it was $20 per person and then we were kinda stuck at only that beach.

Went to Eden Beach. 6km from town. (Google it). Had the beach to ourselves.

There are a lot of shops near the port.

Amazing! Go to darkwood beach if you can. It has a great beachfront restaurant and one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever visited. It’s on par with Megan’s Bay in St. Thomas.

Just walked around outside. In port felt safe. Once you walk a few blocks out we felt unsafe

No excursion. Lovely typical Caribbean port of call. Walked ashore and did some shopping.

Definitely have a plan before going into port. Save the shopping for another port and do some type of tour or activity. We did the beach on horseback. These are older horses, they don't move fast and they are pretty set in their ways. So they're perfect for inexperienced riders. If you typically ride horses, you will find this excursion boring. The beach was pretty. It cleaned up well after the hurricane.

Beautiful beaches and great food. We had a beach day at Dickenson Bay and did some shopping. Would probably do an excursion next time we end up in Antigua. My wife has beautiful long hair so it was annoying to alwaysnhave women approach her trying to braid her hair numerous times.
