Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic Port Reviews

We have no idea! This was the port we were the most looking forward to. We had already booked and paid for an excursion that we were very excited about and when we boarded the boat, they said we would not be going there. They would not accept complaints, or questions and offered no explanation.

No excursion. Walk to downtown and did sightseeing. Very interesting.

Enjoyed the swim-up bar and hanging with some of the crew.

Great excursion and nice new port in Taino Bay

Do the Puerta Planta Tour. It was amazing.

The FREE pool and reasonable drinks!!!!

Cannot go outside the fence without a tour. We wanted to explore the city by foot. Not far away. However, the port area is surrounded by razor ribbon (the international symbol of do not cross).

I enjoyed the excursion I took and liked this port very much. I wished they lined up for the excursions on the dock instead of further in. There was lots of confusion and the area we gathered in was chaotic and crowded

We did the country tour and had a very nice narrative about the country and was able to see some of the countryside. It's bumpy so be prepared if you do this one.

No excusion. But we did enjoy the new port development.
