This is a nice port if you have an excursion scheduled. A taxi is expensive if you want to venture out on your own.$$$$

police are all around for safety

Dominican Republic was wonderful, but our excursion had flaws.

Nice newer port. One of our guest had their Credit Card stolen. (Skimmed)

The is a lot to do with in walking distance. Safe your money and explore

Taino Bay was excellent, something for everyone

Spent the time in the shopping and pool area. Not enough time in the port. since they leave so early and just sit at sea part of the night. They should spend more time there so we could have gone places on the island or done an excursion and go to the pool and shopping. That area is nice & new and well taken care of.

The ship cut our time shorter so there employees get less rest and that makes everyone cranky.

Once you get out of the cruise line's controlled area, it's like being descended upon by harpies. In general the place is a dump and unsafe.
