Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic Port Reviews

We caught a cab at the port and did some shopping for Larimar. We then at lunch at a local place recommended by our cab driver. We loved it. We walked back to the port.

We were so disappointed that we didn't get to visit this port and instead sent us to the Nassua, Bahamas with 5 other ships. Totally CRAZY!

Taino Bay port is VERY nice and brand new but not a lot to do there. They have a nice pool area but with 2 ships in port was full. No beaches close. Downtown area- there is not much to see or do other than see umbrella street and some historical buildings. Lots of police presence along walking route to downtown.

Beautiful port. City highlights and beach excursion was perfect.

this tour was great. But it also costs twice as much as the others. But they packed a lot into the time we had. I suggest this tour for everyone.

Went to a lesser area on the island. Not the right place

We took a tour which included a visit to Rum factory and Amber museum.. lots of rum samples were had.

Original excursion was canceled due to sea state. Went on a city bus tour / Beach stop was a little touristy. Many vendors on the beach hounding you.

Very nice. Did an all inclusive trip to beach resort
