We were in a resort with a day pass

First time at DR. We had an excursion but it was cancelled the night before we arrived. (Weren’t to happy about that). Went to Sunscape resort for a day pass. Really nice resort definitely recommend. Also be careful outside of the port. Not the safest place. Taxi rides are EXPENSIVE!! Keep that in mind. I definitely recommend using the taxis in the port. Little safer than walking outside the port gates. Shopping was good. Definitely aren’t finished building the port. There is no beach access but there is a pool. I think it would be better if there was a beach access.

Atv riding. Wonderfully fun!!! Would recommend it to any able bodied person. Visited the shops had a good time.

We did the Damajagua Falls and Ziplining Excursion and had a fantastic time. I highly recommend that excursion if you're in relatively good shape. There is a 45 minute hike up to the ziplines and over uneven and muddy terrain. This port is also a great port to get off the ship and do some shopping.

First time visiting, and learning about history and culture was interesting. Took an excursion to help understand the place.

We did not do an excursion here but the pool looked really nice. Too cold that day for swimming. The beach was not accessible there but they probably had beach excursions available. There were plenty of chairs on the sand and around the pool.

our excursion was canceled due to rough surf, but that was a blessing in disguise. DR has made the cruise port the best attraction in and of itself with a lazy river ride, swim up bars with pools all over the place, restaurants, and shops. Easily the best cruise port I've every been too.
