Amber Cove had a really nice pool area and water slide that was free to use for us. It also had a number of nice shops and we enjoyed walking around and up to the sky bar for a great view

Nice place. Ocean World is worth the excursion, just make sure you check and sync show times. Make time to eat the included buffet lunch as well.

Nice pool and chairs right off the pier. No charge other than food and drinks. We were told this is not run by any cruise line

Great port to spend the day and not spend a lot of extra money! Beautiful pool and fun water slides and lots of shops to peruse

Went to Ocean World, tour would have been better if it was an hour shorter to give us more time at the dock for shopping.

It is miles from Puerto plata proper

Interesting to tour

Short walk to the pool area, where you can setup camp and be steps away from bars, restaurants, countless stores... and they are building a lazy river. -- It's a can't miss!!

This was a very pleasant surprise. The port had a nice, new shopping area that was very clean and full of interesting stores, bars, etc.

Simply beautiful best Port we ever been to and rum factory has 9 dollar bottles of rum
