Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic Port Reviews

Absolutely terrible excursion. Puerto plata is not yet ready for prime time. Very long walk from dock to Tiano and RC provided no golf carts for mobility challenged guests. Just stay on board and relax with less crowds.

Old city tour in place of snorkeling was a great surprise

Did the cable car, definitely get some great views from the top. Unfortunately clouds decided to roll in, so views were limited, but still a fun experience. Tour then hit the major stops (the square, umbrella street, etc).

The waterfall was amazing but our excursion wasn’t the best. We were served hot beverages in a plastic cup.

Beautiful port

Fun and clean shopping area.

The best port ever! Lazy river, pool, and seating at the cruise port are all free. Had a wonderful time. The merchants and the DJ were great.

This is the second time we visited this port. The first time, we explored on our own. This time we did an excursion with friends. We enjoyed our time.

We choose not to do an excursion here because of the unrest in Hatti so we got off the ship and walked around the shops at the end of the pier. They have built this area up very nicely, we were very impressed.
