Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic Port Q&A

There are several restaurants about a 10-15 minute walk from the port, in the Centro Histórico area. Plus things like the umbrella street, pink street, the fort, etc. We felt completely safe walking around the area on our own.

yes as you walk through the duty free building and out to the shops, on the right is a cantina and it was awesome 😎 we love it

I would not recommend leaving the water park, by foot, on your own. Not a particularly good neighborhood.
