I believe Amber Cove is only used by Carnival Corporation cruise lines (Carnival, Princess, Holland America, Costa, etc.). All other cruise lines will dock at Taino Bay.

We were just there and our tour guide told us only carnival uses amber cove.

It depends on what shop you are on ,what date you dock and how many ship will be at port on that day: From what I have read is that Amber Cove is for Carnival ships and all others use Taino Bay, but if no other ship are in port using Amber Cove then you will dock there.
