I believe this was a first time stop at Ponce. We did not do an excursion there. Mayor was there to greet people as they disembarked. She really did a great job port side.

Great walkable city with a lot of rich history and culture. We walked old San Juan, El Morro fort and checked out some other places recommended by a local. Only down side to this stop is half a day which is not enough time in Puerto Rico. There is so much to do and the ship left at 1:30

My husband liked the historical ambience of Ponce. I was not feeling well and did not get off the ship so I can’t give an opinion.

This is a new port, and not a lot of options. When we went into town, they have a large police presence. If you go 1 block off there is none and it’s not a secure feeling. They are trying to make it a destination, but they have a long way to go!
