La Romana, Dominican Republic Port Reviews

The port was nice. My sister and I took a taxi into the town. It was still rubble from the hurricanes and earthquakes.

Did the Samoa Island experience excursion and its not worth it. To far to travel from the port. Once we got to the island we had 45 mins before we had to go back and it was a 6 hr tour.

We went to a resort, with all-inclusive service. The best beach of the entire trip, both for the sand and the water (crystal clear, calm and pleasantly warm).

You know, we were leery of this port because of the amount of people that say "don't leave the ship" but we had a lovely day exploring Saona island on an independent excursion.

The first time visiting here. We had a wonderful time exploring and enjoying the different sites.

Yes, we did an excursion we swam with dolphins and it was a great day. The cost of pictures was outrageous especially after paying the cost of the ticket bit all in all it was a good day. And we did some shopping. They have great locals that have their jewelry, clothes and items that you can buy very cheap. Buy here don't wait for Puerto Plata the shops are so expensive.

From ship to port, long ways. Glad for guys giving bike rides. Not a lot at the port to do

Did trolly tour

The place was terrible. The town itself didn’t have much to do, and the nearest beach worth going to was 20-25 minutes away. Not only that, the beach was not very nice or clean and wasn’t worth the cost of the taxi ride there & back.
