Not really a place to go unless you are signed up for an excursion you will not leave the cruise port otherwise it is dangerous

Took a catamaran ride and stopped for a nice refreshing swim in a natural swimming pool before getting to our VIP all inclusive excursion at Saona island. Amazing sandy beach with crystal clear water.

Going to take taxi to Dreams Resort for the day $65 included food and drink. Looking forward to it there. Just beautiful! You can call the resort with questions. I looked it up online.

If you dont do an excursion you may not have that much fun. We took the $5 bus into town and spent the whole time telling people "no thank you". They are very aggressive. Wish there was a beach in walking distance to port.

We took the train shuttle tour into and around town. It was interesting. The police rode their motorcycles by us the whole time. Vendors would try to sell you something when we stopped at a light. The town is poor but surprisingly better than expected.
