what to do here? I hear it's not safe. I've been to Amber Cove.We did an excursion and hung out at the pool.

We felt very safe in February but that’s obviously before issues arose in Haiti. The port itself is very nice with shops and a pool. We did a tour through a gated community where many celebrities have homes. Then a boat tour down a river. Amazing time.

Nice little port area with shops, food and a swimming pool. The check in for the cruise and disembarkation area is right beside this area.

It’s a working port. Get out of the port. There’s a lot of beautiful scenery around there.

We booked Altos De Chavon thru Carnival, highly recommend. Google it, it is beautiful!
