The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The water was perfect after the rain stopped. I thought the small boat ride was going to be rocky, but I didn't get sea sick even though the water was choppy.

This beach was so beautiful. We did not do any excursions. We did snorkel with our own equipment. We rented a clam shell umbrella for my elderly in-laws but while they were protected from the sun - it was TOO HOT. There was no breeze under the clam shell. They returned the ship after an early lunch. It would have been better for them to find a shelter under the trees on a bench rather than pay for a VERY HOT CLAM SHELL. The kids had a great time. It truly was beautiful.

Half Moon Quay was our best day on this Caribbean cruise. Sun, relaxing, smoothies and just hanging out in the water and on the beach was just perfect. Walk a little farther (300 yards) down the beach from the pier and you’ll find plenty of space and chairs available for cruise ship guests at no cost. We look forward to Half Moon Quay on all of our Caribbean cruises.

Awesome Carnival/Holland owned Island. The best. Best beach sand anywhere. like pancake flour. All the chairs setup for you. Drinks at the bars, or they serve you on the beach. Awesome water to swim/wade. Plus the BBQ was great. Didn't visit it last year, but did this year. GREAT food. Mahi fish tacos, BBQ beef, jerked hamburgers and many salads and fruit.

Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Again my only complaint is not enough time. We should be able to see a sunset on the beach. why do we need to get back on the ship so early when we could enjoy a beautiful beach sunset. We did the island calipso tram, it was informative and a neat way to see the island and the 45 people that live there. It was also interesting to learn that the cruise line does not own the island, only leased it for 99 years. Also that if the employees or any of the 45 people on the island are sick or injured, they do not have access to the helipad or emergency services and must take a boat to Nassau. The cruise line does not cover the employees of the island in the case of medical emergencies.... that was very disheartening to learn :-(

What a beautiful beach! Wish Carnival would scratch Freeport and just let us stay here for two days. We walked down the beach close to Pirate ship and found chairs in the shade. No need to rent a clam shell. We did rent two intertubes ($15.99 each) and played in the water all day. Heaven!!
