Grand Turk Island Port Q&A

4.2
How does Carnival confirm your vaccination ? Do they actually ever ask for proof upon embarkation day? I’m just wondering how that works for this port. I know you have to be vaccinated but how do they actually confirm you are or aren’t

If they are requiring proof of vaccination you must have your card with you when you go to the port or security will turn you away.

You must have your vaccine card to show proof.

We were there last week and no one asked or required proof of vaccination.

If it’s required for your itinerary, you will provide it at embarkation. They don’t clog the port area checking cards when you arrive.

I was there on Thanksgiving. They ask at check in of the cruise and you don't have to show it. No questions were asked getting off the ship.

If you go to carnivals site, the cruise line doesn’t require vaccination. HOWEVER, currently Grand Turks requires vaccination. They want a digital or paper copy of vaccination. I would imagine when you go to either leave the ship or leave the doc you would need to show your vaccination status.

Last I heard you no longer have to prove vaccinations or test for cruises less than 16 days unless the ports you are sailing to require them. Carnival website has more information. I don’t believe Grand Turk is one of those ports

when I went on the Horizon last month, I was asked if I had been vaccinated. I was, therefore I had to show my vaccine card.I read that unvaccinated are allowed to sail. But have to show a negative test result.

you don't need a negative test either if it's a 15 day or less cruise.

just cruised on Carnival Magic (3-11Dec2022) out of Port Canaveral and Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas (17-25Sep2022) out of Fort Lauderdale and only asked if vaccinated. did not ask or wanted to see proof of vaccination or Covid-19 test as well nothing required by ports visited (Aruba, Bonaire, Grand Turks, Curacao, or Labadee, Haiti).

just came from there 3 weeks ago. getting off at grand turk we wasn't asked to show vaccination. However we did show it when we boarded the ship at Port Canaveral. I would imagine that information would be on our sail & Sign card when they scan it before getting off the ship. Just guessing though.

Turks Government website says the Vax requirements will expire on December 31st and there are no plans to extend it.
