Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I. Port Reviews

Explored on our own, fort near dock. Rainy so didn’t explore too much more, returned to ship.

We enjoyed this stop. The beach was beautiful and the shells, fossils and creatures in the water were very cool. The music was nice too. We were not impressed with the locals shops, but we were expecting that. All in all a decent stop.

Frederiksted was a nice smaller town. We took a guided tour of the city which was fun and interesting. We even visited a fort there.

Beautiful beach

I did not enjoy this port as much as I would have any of the other ports we have been to. I am giving it 3 stars because we got a taxi for $40 per person to take us to the Captain Morgan distillery and over to Leatherback brewery for lunch. Fredrikstad is not a great port city. Not alot of shops open and what was open did not have a very good selection of souvenirs to offer.

Not our favorite. I think we were all too worried about getting back onboard ship because our guide was confused about when we needed to be back on the ship. She got us back at last call. YIKES!

Had an excursion tour guide didn't show up after 1 hr so we left. It was very run down and I felt like I was going to get robbed

St Croix is very laid back. Easy to walk and explore on your own.

Walked to local beach it was just ok. They charged $30 for a chair and a shared umbrella so $60 for a couple. Needless to say a lot of us were sitting on the grass. Never had I heard such a ridiculous price.
