Beautiful island but on par with the private islands of the other cruise lines.

We had fun here and it was great to have an island just to our boat. The snorkeling was not great, however, and our parasailing excursion was cancelled first thing in the morning even though it was not scheduled until late in the afternoon. By the time the afternoon rolled around, conditions seemed very good so we thought it was a poor decision to cancel so early.

I would make this the main destination, end of the first day, everyone back on ship for food and entertainment and enjoy paradise the next day!

We liked Castaway Cay however if you're used to the beaches in California or Florida I don't think you'll find Castaway Cay excellent. There are nice beaches, lots of lounge chairs. We stayed mainly in Serenity Bay (the adult only area). The servers came around every so often asking if we wanted to order drinks. The drinks were very good and around 2pm there was a two-for-one drink special. I thought the food on Castaway Cay was good, but it reminded me of typical American picnic food (hamburgers, chicken, potato salad). The food on the ship was much better so maybe my expectations were high. There are tram cars to get round the island and back to the ship. We walked around the family area and the shops.

The food left a lot to be desired. Overall, we had fun. My wife and daughter had a blast at the mojito tasting experience.
