No, Bimini is not a private island.  If you plan on going to the free beach on the resort property (last stop on the tram) there will be a food truck (for a fee).

I would say like a few people said  Take Trans. Get off get off at the 1st beach Access.  That 1st beach has big seashells a 1/2 a mile down the beach. If you get bored hop back on the tram and rent a golf cart.  You can explore the island along with seeing other beaches as well.I also recommend eating back on the ship it's free.

There is a tram that runs from the ship to the resort beaches all day. At the end is a free beach with a food truck or you can go back to the ship to eat too. We rented a golf cart and went to the beaches on the other end if the islNd and they were stunning, the best I've seen.

it is probably the best beach that we have ever been to. We bought the cruise ship package that had lunch, lunch was simple like fish and chips. Next time we would go back to ship for lunch
