We left our kids at kids club when visiting this port. We took a taxi to the hip strip. We must have been offered drugs at least 30 times. The streets are dangerous for walking as they are all torn up. The shops are over priced but red stripe beer super cheap. A definite place to go is the pork pot for jerk pork. So delicious and worth the walk!

We did not care for this port at all. If we ever go back, we will only do an all inclusive. We did not feel safe until we got back on the ship. We went to Margaritaville and the food was not very good and the locals were constantly hounding is to buy weed. We stopped at a spot on the way back and watched a cliff diver. That was cool. Even though he only jumped once. That spot was pretty though. My review of this port is two thumbs down. 👎

Had a fun time, did the ATV excursion. Only draw back was the trail was muddy than usual, but even that didn't stop me from gunning it here and there 😁. ATV was easy to handle and the guides took good care of us. Whenever I get back to montego bay I'll definitely be doing this again.

Have been to montego bay in past and loved it. However this visit wasn't so good. Got taxi to Dr caves beach and after paying for entrance and sunbeds was left to queue in hot sun for about 40 mins while they put out sunbeds. Booked excursions through tui to Dunns river falls. After 2 hour journey to get there was told to wait outside while our tour guide went and got our entry bands. After waiting for about 30 mins my husband went to find her chatting to someone then she said I'll b there in a min. She then took us through where we queued for another 45 mins waiting for a guide to take us up the falls. Took about 40 mins to climb the falls which were beautiful. Went for lunch then 2 hour trip back to ship. So basically 7.5 hour excursion of which about 6 hours was spent either queuing or travelling. Even though the falls were lovely would I do it again...no.

This was our least favorite place to go. We went to a beach and the driver was very kind but where we got dropped was scary as hell. Locals surrounded us and was taking pics of us and asking us if we want to buy drugs every time we turned around. Was never so glad for the driver to pick us up.

The island is beautiful and enjoyed some of it. The only thing I didn't like was the fact you could not wall to the city you had to catch a taxi or a Hop on Hop off bus. If you got to the main strip close to the boat, the store vendors will hound you to go into their store which became annoying to us. Stick with excursions only at this port.

We really enjoyed the people here in montego bay... We went to Dr Cove and played with the dolphins and spent some time at the beach... The people were very nice and was eager to help us in any way... Cant wait to go back...

Definitely not a family friendly port. The people there were incredibly pushy and rude. They will put an item in your hand and tell you how much you owe them. It’s a shame that what could be a beautiful place, is ruined by the people.

I did not love this. A lot of excursions cancelled due to impending rain so we mostly stayed near the port. Not the cleanest place I've been. Locals were nice as long as they thought they could sell you something. If you didn't buy, they became rude and nasty. I just gave a polite no thank you and kept walking to the sound of their comments. Not all, but most. We did purchase a few things then went back to the ship.
