Chose the snorkeling excursion. It was not much to see. The water wasn't as clear as I was expecting. They said it was due to the earlier rain.,

The island was very nice but we were disappointed not to be able to cave tube as we originally planned. Our grandchildren loved the zipline. But one of the things my husband and I like to do best is explore new areas and as nice as the Island was, we were not able to do more than take the ferry to Placencia. Also heard a number of complaints from other passengers about not being able to use our keycards for food and drink. Unfortunately the pool had to cleared toward the end of the afternoon as someone got sick and there were jelly fish in the ocean that day too. I must add that all the natives we came in contact with were very nice.

The cruise line built port was amazing! The too long of a drive to the excursion (jungle river float tubing) was not worthwhile.

Some of us stayed on the ship, while the rest went to the beach and had an incredible experience. Their assessment was that of the private cruise ship islands they have been to, this had the nicest beach of all. The beach was very clean, wide, and the water was beautiful. They stayed at the beach the entire day. The one drawback was that NCL does not provide lunch on the island. If you want to eat for free, you have to walk back to the ship (many people did). There was a very nice Landshark Bar and Grill in the middle of the island, but you had to pay extra for your burgers and nachos. Please be aware that you cannot use your cruise card account on the island - bring a credit card or cash. You also have to bring any beach towels you wish to use from the ship.
