Went on an excursion to Blue Waters Beach Resort. The beach was beautiful and clean but the high winds made it almost unbearable. Nothing for kids other than to play in the water and sand. I would not recommend spending the money on this excursion. Lots of shopping off the boat though. One thing I noticed in a couple shops was that they were playing some very vulgar music which was not appropriate for kids.

We had a great time in Falmouth Jamaica. We went on the Martha Brae bamboo rafting excursion and it was very peaceful and relaxing riding down the river listening to the guide tell the history of the river and pointing out numerous sites. We even got to see the guide's artwork.

My husband and I loved everything about Jamaica! We did the bamboo beach excursion and it was very relaxing but entertaining at the same time! The staff was fantastic and kept everything up beat and fun even with the rain! We will be going back

Hired a walking guide to show us around town. Went to Peppers for some jerk chicken and Red Stripe. Bought a small bottle of Appleton Rum “very good” and a few Cokes and made my own drinks all day. Also ate way to many meat patties. I understand why some people get nervous here, very poor place but we wanted to go out and see it for ourselves. Now that I did, I will do an excursion next time.

One thing i will say this is a new port still under construction and the workers in the tour bus parking lot have never heard of the company our excursion was booked with (we pre booked through cruises only) we had a hard time finding them. You may want to let Royal know who you use

Did the bus tour plus Rose Hall historic plantation. Much like Mt. Vernon, but not quite as well restored (but they had to start with a total wreck). Bought some Jamaican Blue Mt. Coffee from a store in the shopping area at the pier - in Keurig cups, dated the month previous, but absolutely way beyond stale when we brewed it at home. Had to throw it out and it took 24 hrs to get the foul taste out of my mouth. The fresh brewed cup at the store, however, was wonderful.

We only got off to do a little shopping and were hassled by the locals to buy stuff and take rides everywhere. It was not fun for us and we got back on the ship rather quickly. Unless you book an excursion, would NOT recommend this port.

Took a bus ride (90 minutes) to a private beach for drinks, food, sunning and swimming. Nice staff with a good narrative of Jamaica. Falmouth seems to be a better port, with only a little panhandling from the natives, they still work for tips.

The port area was good for shopping. We had a boring 5 hour bus tour called Ochos Rios Highlights. Spent 4 hours on the bus wizzing by resorts and shacks with short stops to actually see something!
