We did a zip-line excursion that we booked on our own through a separate website. We also got to play with monkeys, sloths and then go to the beach. The water and the beach was absolutely beautiful.

Did a private excursion with David Johnson's Monkey & Sloth Sanctuary (found on Facebook). They met us a the gate and we had a 5 hour tour of the island that included a private beach club, shopping experience at a Chocolate Vendor, visit to a large souvenir shop, and visit to pet sanctuary (you get to hold a sloth!) Definitely worth the $30

Half of our group of 15 went to the beach resort and half (including me) took a bus tour to Gumbalimba Park. This was fantastic. The park was beautiful. Birds and monkeys and a long swinging bridge. After the park we went to a resort and were served lunch (included in the price of the excursion). Just a great day.

We booked excursion through trip advisor/Bodden Tours. It was called Zip n Dip. It included a visit with sloths, monkeys (better than I expected, zip lining, and a beach break. All parts of excursion was of great quality. Beach/water was beautiful. Didn’t explore the port area much but it seems fine if you wanted to stay near ship but have a couple hours off.

This was our favorite port. We toured with RT&T and Jonathan was our tour guide. The day was like a whole vacation in itself. We had a bus tour of the island followed by a boat tour and snorkeling. Then we were treated to a homemade tortilla with beans and cheese. Johnathan gave us the option to visit an animal preserve where we got to experience monkeys, parrots, macaws and sloths.

Did the Gumbalimba / Tabyana Beach excursion --- it was excellent. Monkeys climb all over you (in a good way). The beach was really beautiful; tons of security to watch your staff. Comfortable chairs. One of the guides took us out snorkeling by pulling us on a tube. It was some of the best snorkeling ever.

Booked private driver/tour through app and had personalized van service, friendly and knowledgeable guide who went out of his way to narrate and even got us fruit juices along the way. Yes it’s a poor island but we were told unlike the mainland, crime is not high and the locals really value tourism and their port reputation. Visited the sloth/monkey farm for just $10 which was well run and clean not to mention fun with lots of opportunity to hold sloths, monkeys and parrots. Ended the afternoon at Sol y Mar which was a clean, beautiful, not too crowded resort where we had two grilled lobsters for $25! Great day
