Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico Port Reviews

Enjoyed this port. Walked around the port. It was really nice. The shopping was excellent and the port was very welcoming.

Pretty boring port without a shore excursion. The shops try to get your money like crazy. Some of the shops had no power also.

Nice port

Another long walk from the ship to entry to the island. We walked to the Caviarius the bird aviary. Not expensive and they had a lot of beautiful birds. However, you must walk several rope bridges to get around. This was definitely scary. You do get a great view of the island and the dolphins from several spots in the aviary. Definitely worth doing if you like birds and are not afraid of the rope bridges.

The entertainment was wonderful during our Mexican Forklore excursion. Interesting information on the history. The lunch wasn’t what I expected but was different

The pier was very long, if you have trouble walking. Took the Mayan healing excursion and I would highly recommend. It was fabulous!

Large tourists port. We did private excursion to scuba dive from local dive shop

Did the beach excursion and it was terrible. Aggressive vendors, stinky seaweed, and overcrowded beach chairs. Terrible!!

No excursion. Walked around to take pictures. Extremely crowded and pressured to enter shops. Would not go on shore again.

Weather was bad and couldn’t dock!
